Following the great success of organizing Wushu Duan Wei Grading for China Wushu Association in Portugal, Spain and China since 2007, Master Liming Yue and Tai Chi Centre have received a lot of experience and built a very strong direct link with China Wushu Association. Therefore, we are going to organize a series of Chinese Wushu Grading seminars to help peple worldwide to receive the official Chinese Wushu Grading from China Wushu Association in the future. The Grading opens to all people who practicing any type of Chinese Wushu (Martial Arts). The China Wushu Association will send official Examiners to present the event and the grading certificate will be given on the day.

Who can apply for Grading? The grading is open to public and all Martial Artists who practice Chinese Wushu (Nanquan-South Fist, Chalifar, Laugar, Xingyi, Bagua, Shaolin Kung Fu, Changquan, any style of Tai Chi and Wingchun...etc;). Please keep eyes on our web site for further details.

How to sign up? Please just simply download the application form then pay for your grading online and send your completed application form back to us at: liming.yue@taichicentre.com!

Theory Test (理论考试): Please do not worry about the theory test, according to the latest requirement. There is no Theory Test required for the grading Duan Wei 1 to 3. All grading starting from Duan Wei 4 will be required to write up a 1000 words of practicing experience or paper about Chinese Martial Arts as Theory Test, which you can send to us by email or post a printed version prior to the Grading Assessment.

Photos(照片): Two passport size photos are needed upon your arrival or sent by email along with your application form in advance.

Registration, Training, Assessment and certificate fee (报名费, 训练及考核费): must be paid in advance online and it is non-refundable.

1st grade Duan Wei £180.00 or €220 per person

2nd grade Duan Wei £210.00 or €260 per person

3rd grade Duan Wei £240.00 or €300 per person

4th grade Duan Wei £270.00 or €340 per person

5th grade Duan Wei £300.00 or €380 per person

6th grade Duan Wei £ 350.00 or €450 per person

7th grade Duan Wei £420.00 or €540 per person

8th grade Duan Wei £500.00 or €630 per person

9th grade Duan Wei £600.00 or €750 per person

Requirement of the Wushu Grading (段位标准):

The requirements of grading listed below are just a reference according to the stardard of grading system of China Wushu Association. The grading you are going to receive will be assessed and decided by China Wushu Association on the day.

1st grade Duan Wei:
Tai Chi 11 Short Form, any short section of Tai Chi Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms.

2nd grade Duan Wei:
Tai Chi 11 Form, 18 Short Form, First 15 Form of 83 Form, First part of Laojia 74 Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms.

3rd grade Duan Wei:
Any one of Tai Chi 38 Form, 42 Form, 56 Form and half of any Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.

4th grade Duan Wei: (5 years of practicing experience is required)
Any one of Tai Chi 83 Form, Laojia 74 Form, 42 Form, 56 Form and Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.

5th grade Duan Wei: (5 years of teaching experience is required)
Any one of Tai Chi Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.

6th grade Duan Wei: (5 years of teaching experience is required)
Any one of Tai Chi Long Form or equivalent level for other Wushu forms, plus one weapon form for at least 1 minute and 20 seconds.
Note: The level of the skills must be equivalent to the National or International Wushu competition championship in China.

7th grade Duan Wei: (10 years of teaching experience is required)
After achieved the 6th grade Duan Wei for 6 years, the appliant who knows the whole series of the style you apply for, can apply for the 7th grade Duan Wei. The applicant's reputation, publications, contribution to Chinese Wushu will also be taken into account plus presentation skill and question answer on the assessment.

8th grade Duan Wei: (10 years of teaching experience is required)
After achieved the 7th grade Duan Wei for 5 years, the appliant who knows the whole series of the style you apply for, can apply for the 8th grade Duan Wei. The applicant's reputation, publications, contribution to Chinese Wushu will also be taken into account plus presentation skill and question answer on the assessment.

9th grade Duan Wei: (10 years of teaching experience is required)
After achieved the 8th grade Duan Wei for 4 years, the appliant who knows the whole series of the style you apply for, can apply for the 9th grade Duan Wei. The applicant's reputation, publications, contribution to Chinese Wushu will also be taken into account plus presentation skill and question answer on the assessment.
